There are few events more classically Watercolor Beach than the annual Mountainfilm on Tour. For its 26th year, the two-night outdoor film festival returns to WaterColor® Marina Park for an unforgettable celebration of film, art and ideas under the stars Nov. 6 and 7.
Mountainfilm on Tour in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, offers guests the unique opportunity to see some of the best-loved films from the annual Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado, right here in Northwest Florida – all while enjoying the best South Walton beaches and activities.
“Mountainfilm has become one of WaterColor’s signature events, and we love seeing so many locals and visitors make it part of their annual traditions. Whether you come back every year or have never experienced it before, we hope you’ll join us for a great weekend of films under the stars at Marina Park.” – Matt Moore, General Manager
What to Expect
The 2026 lineup will reflect Mountainfilm’s theme of exploring cultures, preserving environments and promoting adventure. Many of this year’s films focus on skiing and other winter sports. A full list of this year’s featured films will be posted here ahead of the event (parental discretion is advised).
An event presenter will guide the audience through the program, providing insight on the films, filmmakers and topics, as guests enjoy food and drinks under the stars in an outdoor festival atmosphere set against the beautiful backdrop of WaterColor® Marina Park.
Guests can bring a blanket or low-back chairs for lawn seating; please note that chair height (no more than 30 in. from the ground) is strictly enforced. No outside food or beverage is permitted through the Mountainfilm on Tour gates. Pets are not allowed. Please plan transportation accordingly, as parking will be limited.
Gates open at 5:45 p.m., and the festival kicks off at 7 p.m. For additional event details, please click here or email mfilm@stjoe.com.
