In October, WaterColor Beach transforms into an epicurean paradise as it welcomes the annual Harvest Wine & Food Festival, one of the Southeast’s premier wine and food festivals. Presented by the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, the festival provides guests with the chance to sip and savor some of the world’s finest wines and culinary creations – all set against the idyllic backdrop of the WaterColor beach community.
The Ninth Annual Harvest Wine & Food Festival takes place Oct. 16-19, 2025, and promises to be one of the best yet. The festival also hosts intimate wine dinners along South Walton, a cocktail brunch and the famous “Grand Tasting,” which takes place at WaterColor’s Cerulean Park, with all event proceeds benefitting numerous children’s charities in Northwest Florida.

Additionally, this year’s “Harvest After Dark” tasting is not to be missed! During this stylish, after-hours experience, Cerulean Park transforms into a twilight garden party that blends the charm of a dinner party with the energy of a vibrant night out.
WaterColor Inn guests can stay in the heart of the excitement and enjoy special access to a variety of resort amenities. Book WaterColor Inn’s Harvest Wine Festival Package and enjoy the convenience and comfort of being just steps away from the festivities. In addition to beachfront accommodations, complimentary bike and kayak rentals and access to WaterColor Beach Club, guests who book this package also receive two tickets to the festival’s “Grand Tasting” on Saturday, Oct. 18.

We sat down with Karah Young, President of the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, to learn more about what makes this celebration of wine, food and all things Northwest Florida an experience you won’t want to miss.
What makes the Harvest Wine & Food Festival distinctly special and different from other festivals in the area?
There’s something truly meaningful about Harvest that sets it apart. Yes, the wines are exceptional, and the food is unforgettable—but at its core, this festival is about giving back. Hosted by Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, every ticket supports local children’s charities, so you’re not just enjoying a great glass of wine—you’re making a real difference. The entire weekend is thoughtfully curated–from intimate dinners with celebrity chefs to reserve tastings and educational experiences. It’s not about being the biggest event; it’s about creating something personal and purposeful.
What is your favorite part of the festival?
It’s hard to choose, but if I had to pick just one, it would be the Grand Tasting on Saturday. It’s where everything comes together: the atmosphere, the flavors and the people. Everyone’s genuinely enjoying themselves, and you can feel the heart behind it all, knowing it’s supporting such a meaningful cause. It’s festive, elevated and full of those little moments you want to bottle up and keep forever.
What would you recommend festival guests experience during their time in Northwest Florida?
I encourage guests to explore beyond the festival—grab a bike and cruise through WaterColor, stop by Grayton Beach State Park for stunning coastal views, or enjoy a glass of wine at Wine World WaterColor. If time allows, a morning paddle on Western Lake offers a peaceful contrast to the festival buzz.
Why is WaterColor Inn a great lodging option for festival attendees?

Some packages even include two Grand Tasting tickets when you book directly through the resort. WaterColor Inn combines prime location, upscale amenities, and genuine Southern hospitality, making it a seamless and luxurious home base for your visit.
