With its collection of picturesque greens and expertly designed championship golf courses, Northwest Florida has long been an acclaimed golf destination. Guests staying at Watersound Inn or Camp Creek Inn, however, enjoy exclusive access to three of 30A’s best golf courses, each offering a distinct experience and unforgettable play.
With a passport to exclusive resort privileges and Watersound Club® amenities, guests of Watersound Inn and Camp Creek Inn can experience 30A like a private club member, complete with seamless access to Camp Creek® Golf Course, Shark’s Tooth and The Third.
To help you make the most of your 30A golf experiences at these private Watersound Club courses, we asked Greg Flannagan, a PGA-certified golf professional and the Watersound Club® Director of Golf, to provide his insight into each golf course.
Most golfers are surprised by how different all three courses are. You can play three rounds in three days and feel like you’ve played three completely different golf destinations. My advice is to embrace that. Camp Creek® Golf Course, Shark’s Tooth and The Third each require a different approach, so don’t get locked into one style of play. Take what the course gives you and enjoy the variety.

CAMP CREEK® GOLF COURSE
(Par 72 | 7,120 Yards | 5 Tees)
This Tom Fazio-designed course is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary that protects and integrates with the surrounding wetlands, offering golfers undulating fairways, natural hazards, and native plants – making for a challenging course.
Camp Creek rewards smart golf. A lot of players automatically reach for the driver, but position is usually more important than distance. The greens are elevated and have plenty of movement, so giving yourself the right angle into the green can make a huge difference. If you can stay on the correct side of the fairway and avoid short-siding yourself, you’ll save a lot of strokes.

SHARK’S TOOTH GOLF COURSE
(Par 72 | 7,199 Yards | 5 Tees)
With stunning views of Florida’s largest dune lake, Lake Powell, this Greg Norman-designed course is surrounded by pine and oak trees, with undulating greens and deep bunkers that blend a fun challenge with stunning coastal beauty.
The views around Lake Powell are incredible, but they don’t change your shot selection as much as you might think. Where golfers can get fooled is with depth perception, such as on a few holes with open areas behind the green. When in doubt, trust your yardage and commit to the shot.

THE THIRD
(Par 71 | 7,252 Yards | 6 Tees)
Designed by Davis Love III in the “coastal links style,” the latest course in the WatersoundClub® collection blends traditional and modern design elements. Located north of Shark’s Tooth, The Third incorporates a variety of natural elements that provide a level of complexity and excitement to each hole.
“Wind is part of the game at The Third and something you’ll deal with most days. The effect is especially noticeable on holes that share fairways, where the landscape is more exposed than on perimeter holes. It can have a big impact on club selection and strategy. Golfers who are willing to keep the ball lower and use the ground will usually have more success than those trying to hit everything high in the air. It’s a fun challenge and one of the things that makes the course unique.”
