Nestled between the Gulf and Point Washington State Forest, The Lodge 30A offers comfort and convenience with a contemporary and coastal flair. A maximum of two housebroken dogs or cats, each weighing no more than 40 lbs., are welcome for a $100 fee per stay. With home-like amenities, flexible workspaces and discounted rates, The Lodge 30A makes for an ideal extended stay in the heart of 30A.

The Pearl Hotel, Rosemary Beach

This iconic 30A boutique hotel welcomes housebroken dogs and cats weighing less than 30 lbs. for a $100 fee per stay in designated pet-friendly rooms. Additionally, The Pearl’s idyllic location within the Rosemary Beach Town Center provides plentiful green spaces and walking opportunities nearby.

Watersound Inn, Inlet Beach

This 11-suite inn offers an intimate home-away-from-home experience, complete with designated pet-friendly rooms. A maximum of two domestic, housebroken pets weighing less than 50 lbs. each are welcome. Complete with a fully equipped kitchen and in-room washer/dryer, Watersound Inn provides a serene 30A escape for the whole family.

While most 30A beaches require permits for dogs, more than 200 miles of nature trails across four state parks provide the ultimate coastal retreat for our four-legged friends. These include: Point Washington State Forest, Eden Gardens State Park, Grayton Beach State Park, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and the Timpoochee Trail.

Let your pup run free at the Walton County Dog Park (330 J D Miller Rd.), or bring them along for a shopping-filled stroll along 30A’s distinct beach neighborhoods. Ready for a nap on a shaded porch? Several of the area’s most popular restaurants offer pet-friendly outdoor seating.

  • Secure a Walton County beach permit in advance (available to Walton County residents)
  • Pack the essentials, including a leash, water bowls, waste bags and sun protection
  • Explore early or late to avoid peak heat and/or crowds
